Priming Pot/Leaf Trap/Strainer Basket for External Centrifugal Pumps
The strainer basket is designed to facilitate the priming of the pump and suction line. It is not designed to remove air from the suction line. This trap will also work as a strainer basket to trap leaves and debris. Use when your pump is mounted above the water level.

Excellent Performance
Replaced a 15-year-old unit with this one and my only regret is that it wasn't done sooner. It has improved the performance of the entire filtration system and waterfall appreciably. So glad to have found this and at a very good price too.

Super fast shipping
The product was just as described and very good quality. Because my pond filtration was shut down while I was waiting on this part, I was really pleased that it shipped so fast and got it the next day. Plus it was a little bit cheaper than the other guys. This catch basket hooks into the pump perfectly. No need to modify. Works great in my application where i use a vacuum cleaner system running off my pentair variable speed pump
