Best skimmer we ever owned
We had to replace our 3rd skimmer that we were buying from the local pond store. We read about these skimmers and decided it would work for our pond.
We ordered it from 123ponds and it arrived in 2 days.
Installed it quickly and it worked very well. It was so well built compared to our old skimmers which fell apart. We could not be happier with this skimmer and with the company for getting it to us so fast.

Second Compact Skimmer
This is my second skimmer (an in-kind replacement) for a skimmer that was destroyed in a fire on the edge of our pond. The original compact skimmer did the job for 16 years without fail. Pre sorting debris before the pump is essential! And this skimmer does the job. We use a above ground pump and installed a 2 line thru the base wall of the skimmer and use level switch for pump protection. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is it would have been nice to have the ability to either choose a submersible pump application or a base with the thru wall fitting already in in stalled or as an option.
Pros:The water tight flange face on the wire gate works very well...no leaks
Cons:Add a thru wall fittings option for outside the pond pumps
