All AP-Series air pumps operate on standard 115V AC electric and come with 6' power cords. They have been designed to operate efficiently with a motor that is non-oil lubricated.
For outdoor applications, it is recommended that the water resistant ABS plastic unit be enclosed with allowance for air circulation to protect it from the elements.

Aeration For My Waterfall Pond
This AP-40 aerator works perfectly in my waterfall pond which is about 15 x15 and 4 feet deep in the middle. I am using the supplied diffuser and approximately 15 feet of 3/4 inch drip irrigation hose. I attached the diffuser to a rock with zip ties as described in the instructions. I have the have the unit tucked in a bush next to the pond. I have been running it once a week from 11 AM to 6 PM off a timer. The results are crystal clear water that two gold fish seem to be enjoying!
Pros:Easy setup, excellent aeration from 4-5 feet-adequately covering my 15 x 15 waterfall pond
